DESCRIPTION

Oh those nasty stitches that slip off your needles and hang there, sneering and daring you to try and put them back.  Well, Nancy V will help you learn to teach those dropped stitches who is really in charge.  

Working from a sample swatch (see below), we will drop stitches left and right, right side and wrong side, and learn to fearlessly put them back in their place.  

HOMEWORK (Required!!!!!)

Using smooth, light colored worsted or DK weight yarn, and needles appropriate for that yarn, cast on 20 stitches and knit Stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) until your swatch is at least 3 inches tall.  Leave stitches on your needle and DO NOT CUT YARN.

MATERIALS NEEDED 

• Your swatch
• An extra needle or crochet hook

SKILLS LEARNED

• teaching those dropped stitches a lesson!

You should already know how to knit, purl, some knit in the round experience is helpful but not necessary.

Nancy Vandivert happily admits to being a knitting nerd. She is a TKGA certified Master Hand Knitter and has had patterns published in CAST ON, Interweave Knits magazines, Knitty, Knit Picks, Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin’ Sock Club, and Twist Collective. She has taught knitting and crochet in the Rochester, NY area for over 20 years.

2. If fewer than 3 people sign up for any given class, we reserve the right to cancel the class altogether. In this event, you will be notified & issued a full refund.
