DESCRIPTION

It's a job few actually like to do, but learning to weave in ends properly will make your finished knitted or crocheted item last longer and make it look professional, store bought, haute couture!  Ends can be dealt with as you go or once a project is finished

Working from a sample swatch (see below), we will weave in lots of ends, right side and wrong side, and learn to fearlessly put them in their place.

HOMEWORK (Required!!!!!)

Using smooth, light colored worsted or DK weight yarn, and needles appropriate for that yarn, cast on 20 stitches and knit Stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) until your swatch is at least 3 inches tall.  Leave stitches on your needle and DO NOT CUT YARN.

MATERIALS NEEDED

  • Your swatch
  • Tapestry needles and scissors
  • Contrasting scrap yarn, a few yards

SKILLS LEARNED

  • Weaving in ends on Stockinette and Reverse Stockinette and while a project is in process!

SKILLS NEEDED

You should already know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

Don't forget these...

"I'm so excited to finally find my perfect local yarn store. They carry such an amazing range of yarns, from locally sourced to small batch sheep to skein to naturally dyed. I've been twice (so far!) and I'm always greeted so nicely. It doesn't feel clique-y or snobby as some shops do. Their range is really amazing and so far I've gotten sweater yarn and yarn for 2 different shawls here. Dawn is great with color advice too. Highly reccomend!" - Google Review
"I couldn't leave this shop a high enough score. 10000/10. The instant I walked in, I was given a warm greeting and was immediately helped. I went in for sock yarn but, was overwhelmed by all the amazing local yarn. I love that they have a direct relationship with their yarn artisans. She even stayed a few minutes past closing when I was having problems picking just one skein. Never felt rushed or like she wanted me gone. She took the time to make sure I was getting exactly the righ.t product and even put my skein into a cake That's an amazing service that I've never been offered before. I can't say enough good things about this place. Ill definitely be making the trip there more often!" - Google Review
