As summer progresses, the shelves of our local food pantries start to thin out. This is why we've decided to take action and help support our community. On Sunday, August 18, we are teaming up with Junction 361 to host a fundraiser to support the Perinton Food Shelf!
The Inspiration
At the shop, one of the most common questions we get is whether we sell our knit and crochet sample garments. While we typically don't, this popular request sparked an idea: why not turn our retired samples and donated items from our amazing crafty community into a charitable event? So that's exactly what we're doing!
HANDMADE GARMENT RAFFLE

We will be taking over Junction 361 and raffling off a stunning array of retired samples from Lift Bridge Yarns, as well as like-new donated items from our talented community members. The garments up for raffle include one-of-a-kind shawls, sweaters, socks, and more, all handcrafted by local knitters and crocheters.
How to Participate
Whether you have something to donate or want to come for the party, there are two ways to help make this event a success!
DONATE A FINISHED ITEM
Have a shawl you loved making but never wore? A sweater that just didn't fit? A lonely amigurumi that needs a home? A box of socks because you can't stop knitting them?!
We are accepting donations of like-new finished items to add to the raffle!
Items must be:
- In like-new condition (no pilling, damage or wear & tear).
- Finished, ends woven in & blocked (if needed).
- Items from smoke-free homes only, please.
Please mail or drop donations off at the shop in a sealed plastic bag by Wednesday, Aug. 14. (23 N. Main St., Fairport, NY 14450)
Your donated handmade items will find loving new homes AND help us support our community!
ATTEND THE EVENT
Come to Junction 361, buy a bunch of raffle tickets, and drop your tickets into the jars for the items you hope to win. Winners will be drawn that evening, so be sure to stick around and enjoy a glass of wine, a craft beer, your favorite latter or a cup of tea! (You don't need to be present to win.)
All proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets, along with a portion of Junction 361's food and drink sales from the event, will be donated to the Perinton Food Shelf. This is a wonderful opportunity to support a vital local resource while also getting a chance to win beautiful, handmade garments.
