One of our most asked-about classes is back! Learn the ins and outs of brioche knitting with Nancy Vandivert. In this class we'll be learning to knit two-color brioche. Choose one of Kate Atherley's beginner-friendly Opportunity Three cowls. We suggest starting with the easiest of the three cowls, Opportunity Straightforward, then venturing on to the next two on your own to build on your skills. 

MATERIALS NEEDED

• Kate Atherley's Opportunity Three cowl patterns (included in price of class, printed copy will be provided at 1st class session. We will contact you for your Ravelry account name to provide you with a digital copy through Ravelry.)
  
• 2 skeins (100 grams ea.) in 2 contrasting colors of a DK  or worsted weight of your choice. We suggest Spun Right Round Squish DK or Plymouth Select Worsted.
• Size US 7 (4.5mm) 16" circular needle.
• Tapestry needle, stitch markers & scissors

SKILLS LEARNED

• Brioche stitches: Brk, Brp1, sl1yo
  
• Bind offs for brioche knitting

SKILLS NEEDED

You should already know how to knit, purl, and knit in the round.

About the teacher:
Nancy Vandivert happily admits to being a knitting nerd. She is a TKGA certified Master Hand Knitter and has had patterns published in CAST ON, Interweave Knits magazines, Knitty, Knit Picks, Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin’ Sock Club, and Twist Collective, as well as her shop on Ravelry. She has taught knitting and crochet in the Rochester, NY area for over 20 years.

1. Our classes can sell out quickly. If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible so we can fill your spot with someone from the waiting list. Refunds will not be given for cancellations within 48 hours of the first class. 

2. If fewer than 3 people sign up for any given class, we reserve the right to cancel the class altogether. In this event, you will be notified & issued a full refund.
