Description

Would you like to try lace doing something small, and if you are feeling a little bit adventurous, add some beads?  Laura Nelkin's Gneiss Scarf is worked tip to tip with a simple lace border going up the straight edge of the scarf. Optional beads are placed at the center of the lace motif (the scarf is lovely without the beads!). The Scarf is written for two sizes and is easily adjustable to make bigger or smaller.

The lace design is offered as both written and charted instructions.  Class will cover how to use both to complete your Gneiss scarf.  Worked in a light fingering weight yarn, the suggested gauge is 18 sts and 24 rows to 4 inches in Garter Stitch, after blocking.

Finished sizes are: Small: Approx. 36 inches [91 cm] long x 8 inches [20 cm] deep Large: Approx. 52 inches [133 cm] long x 11 inches [30 cm] deep

Don't forget these...

"I'm so excited to finally find my perfect local yarn store. They carry such an amazing range of yarns, from locally sourced to small batch sheep to skein to naturally dyed. I've been twice (so far!) and I'm always greeted so nicely. It doesn't feel clique-y or snobby as some shops do. Their range is really amazing and so far I've gotten sweater yarn and yarn for 2 different shawls here. Dawn is great with color advice too. Highly reccomend!" - Google Review
"I couldn't leave this shop a high enough score. 10000/10. The instant I walked in, I was given a warm greeting and was immediately helped. I went in for sock yarn but, was overwhelmed by all the amazing local yarn. I love that they have a direct relationship with their yarn artisans. She even stayed a few minutes past closing when I was having problems picking just one skein. Never felt rushed or like she wanted me gone. She took the time to make sure I was getting exactly the righ.t product and even put my skein into a cake That's an amazing service that I've never been offered before. I can't say enough good things about this place. Ill definitely be making the trip there more often!" - Google Review
